Dursey Boat Trips are delighted to launch a new route in August 2021 – “Castletownbere Harbour Trip”. The Castletownbere Harbour Trip is a 25 mile route around the biggest whitefish port in Ireland and 2nd deepest natural harbour in the world. En route to Adrigole harbour, we catch spectacular views of Hungry Hill and the Mare’s Tail Waterfall – the highest waterfall in Ireland and the UK. Our trip will bring you right in close to the Puxley’s Mansion and O’Sullivan-Bere Castle. We cruise by two lighthouses in the harbour – Ardnakinna to the West and Roancarrig to the East, and visit Oilean na Gaorach, Lawrence’s Cove and Lonehort Army Range where we will discuss English and American naval presence in the area over history.
